Voter fraud is virtually nonexistent. In person voting fraud is very rare. Certainly not enough to sway an election one way or the other. We have fair elections in this country.
The Big Lie (voter fraud) is bullshit. It was brought to different courts over 60 times and lost. The Big Lie is what dictators do to undermine elections.
Just try to remember that how democracies die are not with tanks and guns in the streets. It's thru elections. Germany was a democracy before the 1930's. Hitler, Mussolini, Putin, Orban' etc. all were elected.
Democracies die when someone claims heads I win and tales you lose and doesn't accept defeat. In other words, if they win it was fair, but if they lose they were cheated against. And won't abide by the peaceful transfer of power.
When you watch an NFL game today imagine if a team that loses claimed they would not accept defeat because of a lie of cheating.
Democracies / self governing are an experiment. My fear is half the country will embrace an autocracy simply because their tribes leader is the autocrat.
We're headed down a dangerous path. We've come close to losing it before, but avoided it with a civil war. If we are to lose it we had a pretty good run. Something like 240 plus years.
The great American patriot Benjamin Franklin was asked, upon his emergence from the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787, what form of government the United States was going to have. Franklin answered succinctly, "A Republic, if you can keep it."
Franklin could envision a lot of things, but a wild west social media was not one of them. The truth simply cannot catch up with the lies. It's like trying to put out a forest fire with a small fire extinguisher.
