Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Just work and church (needed to cleanse after watching the “golf video” at lunch).

Tomorrow going to try to get to the range and play with the M3 driver weight adjustments. As currently configured it wants to turn hard left most of the time.

Really nice course, maybe a little pricey. I played it in july and it was in great shape and empty. You'll love it I think.

So I was going to buy grass seed to overseed my dust bowl of a yard after yesterdays dethatching. I have an hour betwen jobs to get seed, and a couple hours tomorrow morning to put it down. I was happy with that...until the wife got involved. She says I should rent a strip seeder... which will have to be delivered...and I'll need a whole day off to deal with it. I also need a day off to close the pool. Over the next couple weeks I have ZERO days off because the other proshop guys are going to Ireland. SO once again, John's plan is shoved aside. At this point, I'm leaving it as fuckin dirt unless SHE wants to rent and run the strip seeder, I'm out.

Par4QC I hope the guys look at pictures of some of those clubs/courses. We only have 1 guy (that's not me) that I MIGHT let cut my grass.
I'm supposed to be transferring to a new job (title), before they take over and a nice raise. My boss sent it to me this afternoon and told me to sign it, FAST!! It was verbally agreed upon 2 weeks ago.

LBlack14 I just thought that being yours was a PGA course, it probably doesn't have al lthe associated 'goodies' that come with 'country club' type courses. Pools, tennis courts, racketball, etc. Figure there will be a lot of upgrading in the next few months for you. Which is always a PITA, no matter how it's done/who does it, for the workers in place.
Glad to see someone sees in you what they should see. Finally!👍

LB - I looked at the portfolio of courses across the country and I've had the privilege to play a few of them, primarily the public access courses in the DFW area. I don't know when your company bought them but I noticed in the last couple of years there was a drop off in course conditions from the days of yore. I kind of mentally gave the courses a pass because the greens were still really nice and North Texas has had a few years now of pretty severe drought conditions.

Good luck and congratulations with the new position and bump in the pay scale. You'll do great and probably be teaching your inherited staff the meaning of work.

I've played Fossil Creek, Plantation, Mansfield, and Bear Creek in North TX and all are public access. All had some grooming issues when I last played them the last couple of years. They own some nice private venues and I would think they have to stay on top of the maintenance at those.
