Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Par4QC I mowed my lawn on the 7th and then went on vacation. I mowed it today. The front yard didn't need it at all but the side yard did. I need to fertilize it again.

Charity work this morning/lunchtime ... freakin' hot, fortunately the van has air con (but only in the cabin). Too hot to walk the dog until 10pm, around the golf course. Light enough as you'll have seen from St Andrew's Thursday and Friday, in fact light enough to spot 4 balls on the edge of the semi rough 👍

Tomorrow's forecast is for even hotter than today, should make a round of golf at Largs interesting. Sun hat at the ready and numerous water bottles in the fridge and freezer; probably have to stop for a piss multiple times on the way home ...

It’s 95 degrees with high humidity. I had nothing until 5 pm Crossift class. Decided to try playing golf.. haven’t played since last July.

Hot again today but not as bad as last 2 days (and no thunder or lightning that we had a short spell of on the golf course yesterday). Still make the charity work hot'n'horrrible. Having to put extra days in, one of their drivers quit due to other commitments, so there's only 2 of us registered on the van for now. Still won't interfere with my golf though ...

Walterjn Played stupidly well. Other than my opening tee ball, off the bottom of the toe, 130 yards along the ground😔. I deemed that a “breakfast ball”. I laughed to myself as I went into the bag for another ball thinking, “ it’s be funny if I just packed it in and left.” Next one was much better. Hit every green in regulation, closed out the round with birdies on 14.15.16.17 and 18. Ended up -8. I was surprised. Maybe low expectations are the way to go.

Work. Watching the Senior Open on breaks. Gleneagles is quite a bit greener than the Old Course was. Scoring looks about the same.

Over 90 with oppressive humidity today. We got 2 foursomes around in 3 hours. I drank several quarts of water/Gatorade mix and carried a towel with me for every shot. Dry my forehead, dry my hands, hit the shot......

Mrs. Fatshot bought me one of these a few years ago. I soak it the night before, then
put it in a plastic bag in the fridge overnight. I try to wait until the turn, then take it out and wipe face, neck, etc.
Use it every hole on the back nine. Pretty refreshing on a hot day!

I liked to carry refreezeable ice pack strips in a small cooler full of ice. Lay a bandana on the seat and wrap it up then tie it around your neck. I takes your core temp down immediately. It lasts two or three holes then change to a new ice pack.

I've got one as well. Like the knucklehead that I am, I left it in VA. They're lifesavers. The good news here is, we can park in the shade a lot while playing.

It’s a crime that you are that good and don’t play golf that much. Your wife should be charged with some sort of mental abuse. Lol. Does she know how good you are?

What is her hobby besides being abusive to you? Lol I can’t imagine if she were really good at something how’d she react if you criticized her for enjoying her activity / sport.

Say she was a great singer or painter and you bitched that she sang or painted. Makes no sense.🙄 You are in a very small percentage of golfers who can actually play golf at a high level.

And yet you seldom play. That’s a crime in itself. Lol

Sneakylong She knows but doesn’t really care so I don’t say anything. She thinks it’s automatic and you don’t need to practice. I might have proved the the theory the other day🙄. But yeah, I think about it all the time if she had a hobby could I give her crap for doing it… especially if she was good at it? No, can’t imagine giving her crap. Now if I was going out everyday, sucked at it and used it as an excuse to be out with my friends yucking it up everyday, I could see her being pissed.

I work there because it’s less than a mile away, the golf school is there as well, the members are great as are the people working there. The other stuff drives me nuts. They know how I play but whatever. I’ll do more TM stuff next year
