It has been a full week since they charged my credit card. No shipping emails. I sent them an email this morning and no reply. I am not amused.

Time to give them a call. When I check their various "contact us" links on their website it shows two different email addys which also differs from the email addy on the paypal transaction page.

I got the same BS email from Sarah. In a reply I told her to just cancel the order. Her reply was to "Call Joe." And now no reply on an email 24 hrs. ago. Ignorant shit likes this bugs me.

Bravopilot, can you borrow a BUFF? Maybe make a low pass over their office? I'll be glad to ride right seat.

No cancellations yet and no grips. I am going to give them a call soon if I don't hear anything.

Back in the 80's I was flying a civilian aircraft in Central KY near a low level route. Clearing to my left a Buff went whooshing past blowing black exhaust. He was close enough I could see the white pilot's helmet. I guess he had just exited the low level route and was climbing. IIRC the BUFF was in camo green and hard to pick out visually looking down at him. I got even closer once with an Army Mohawk screaming under me. Both times I only got the "Oh" out of Oh Shit before I saw them and they passed.

Interesting about seeing the B52. I started in Buffs in 1981 and retired in 2000. Many paint scheme during the time, I liked the Green camo color. If you saw a white helmet they may have been training as once we get to the op sq the helmets are covered with colors, changed over time same as the jet. Flew low level for about 15 years and then Boeing said the AF can extend the life if we stop low level--lots of stress on the airframe, if you look close you can see the skin wrinkles. Flew often where you saw one and since some mountains usually flew down to 600', flatlands such as Kansa went down to 400'. Really cen get your attention at night, especially in the mountains--serious pucker time.

My UPT class was 73-09. I got stuck back at the same base in a T-37.

I was 81-04--Columbus. Out of 47 US (2 Saudis) we had 19 SAC and all but 10 FAIPs, not a good class assignment night. I turned down fighters as I wanted to see the world and ladies via the 141, but no the AF knew better. In the end, loved the B52 and would do it all over again.

No call back. What a surprise. I am done with them. Card company will take care of it if nothing after 15 days which is Weds.

I did some digging and they do biz under the names of Western Golf Shop, DiscountGolf, and answer the phone as Golfer' Edge. I found their shop in Lombard, IL just west of Chicago which explains the "attitude" I got on the phone. It looks like a very nice shop on google earth that sells other sporting stuff.

Hey Rick....Sorry I brought this whole thing up. I'm always hesitant to recommend companies I haven't had dealings with myself, and I really wish I had kept my goddamned mouth shot on this one. This place is still advertising daily on Facebook.....can't believe others haven't lodged complaints there. Again...I apologize!

No problem. I appreciate you taking the time to give me a heads up on the site. It was a very good price with free shipping. If I was more patient I would just wait it out take the grips when I get them. I plan to wait until Tues. and give them a call again. Then if no luck next call will be to my card company. No sweat, no loss. Just a little aggravation that wasn't your fault. 👍️

Rickochet I filed a credit card claim yesterday since Discount Gold charged my card two weeks ago the day of the order. Still nothing from them. No emails, calls or shipping notice. I got my credit refund to my account this morning. Be sure to mention Discount Golf to all of your friends.

The only lesson to be learned is that there are some companies that don't operate as well as others. I appreciated your heads up. The website looked fine. I assumed that they would ship quickly like most others do until their email said they "strive" to ship within 7 -10 days. Charging the card the day of purchase was not good. Anywho all is well. And please understand that when I posted previously to "mention Discount Golf to all of your friends" I wasn't being sarcastic. I meant for you tell your friends how bad they are. 👍️
