The testing limits are the 317 yards, but all will be affected.
The ONLY reason that the average golfer will not recognize a big difference is that they have arguably, never hit two balls the exact same in their golfing lives.
A thinned ground ball will mathematically still go shorter than the current ball and the same thinned ground ball shot.
