Frankenstein'd myself a shaft cutter with some wood scraps, 3D prints, and a mini drill I got as gift. Works good on graphite, not sure how useful it'll be on steel.

Alright, here's a stupid one. I'm taking apart a set of Ping Zing 2s that have had aftermarket Harrison shafts installed. I thought maybe they'd been reamed to fit the .370 shafts.

NOPE! Pulled the 8i shaft out and the tip has been tapered down to 350. Didn't reach past the last 1/4 of the bore either.

Gonna pull the rest... Poll time: Should I pull the full 1-LW to sell or try to sell the 1/2/S/LS/BeCu Lob seperate? I'm not sure what value having the original shafts present in a "set" that's pieced together.

I have more luck selling complete head sets than mixed shafted sets. But selling the matched shafted set and the extras as heads only might fly.

Reshafting a set of King Cobra's forged single lenght with shafts pulled from another Cobra F7 set for a client

those stock shafts (made by TT for Cobra) are supposed to be single lenght as well. 😲 And the stock shafts in the forged set (KBS Tour FLT) with taper tips were installed in '370 parallel hosels. After cleaning the hosels and the shafts off the old epoxy the shafts waggle in the clubheads. 2 were installed with a shim but 4 without shim, just with excessive epoxy. Never had Cobra's before in my shop to dissasemble, but not impressed.

Not according to the factory specs :

Par4QC Cobra single length weren't really 'single' length, were they?

With those shaft they aren't 🤣

Well, I didn't just build this today but I finally got it finished. I bought these railing "kits" over a year ago after breaking my left arm. I have two steps going up to my front porch and without something to grab on to stepping up is often a challenge with bad knees and back and a disabled arm. I have been pecking away at it as best I could. It was too small of a job for a contractor with skills and not one I would let a "handy man" do. The biggie was the sidewalk was too narrow to just anchor it in on the walk. I had to did do new concrete bases for the lower posts. An old geezer digging with one arm and mixing and pouring the concrete was an adventure. Fortunately cutting the aluminum parts to length on my band saw worked out well. I still have to do some work on the stacking stones next spring. Getting old sucks donkey balls.

Subsonic Where do you live? I am sure I could mobilize some Last Tee geezer assistance to assist a one armed, deaf, and sharting member.

I live in central KY near the Buffalo Trace and Jim Beam distilleries. 😜

Sarnella Buffalo Trace? Jim Beam? I will be there!!!

When the wind is right I can smell the mash cooking. Woodford Reserve is also a few miles down the road. It is interesting how dead the whiskey industry was 30 years ago with empty warehouses now new whiskey warehouses are popping up like mushrooms.
