Mustaggolf Sparky Penley-- name from the past. I had an account with them. Are those from that vintage? Have not seen them lately..
Sparky Mustaggolf Mine are old stock. I think Penley is still around, maybe. Website penleysports.com looks active. But only RockBottom seems to have any of the latest stuff.
LogicalOne I built this thing and just in time! Lol ๐ Ths actually wasnโt supposed to be in for another 7-8 weeks! ๐ณ
LogicalOne These are the most amount of clubs Iโve set to cure at one time in over 14 years! Lol ๐ It was pretty fun! ๐
scotts33 LogicalOne Curiosity question.....does anyone tape graphite shafts anymore when cutting them? I have not for years. I use a fine abrasive 42" belt the one I use to abraid tips on graphite to round off the butt very slightly. Most of those old clubmakers norms have gone by the wayside ie. dimpling steel to create a void for a better epoxy bond.
sdandrea1 LogicalOne Curiosity question.....does anyone tape graphite shafts anymore when cutting them? I don't. I cut with a thin cutting disc on a bench motor. I have my shop vac hose mounted right below the cutting wheel. It sucks the dust and the shaft tip right into the tank.
Walterjn sdandrea1 That is how a buddy cuts carbon fiber arrows to length. Done that many many times helping him out building arrows for customers.
KCee LogicalOne I still tape them. Just habit I guess as the saw I have should be fine without it. I find it easier to see the cut mark on the tape too.
Mattyv Put the finishing touches on the Bridgestone J36 Irons I picked up a few weeks ago. Shafted them with the Nippon NS Pro 1040GH shafts from the Rick Astleys Bottom thread. Gof Pride Tour Wrap grips. I picked up a Reaming bit from Golfworks and they now have a. 370 bore. I made a jig for my drill press to keep the heads vertical. Stole the design from someone on here and made a couple of mods to it. Jig worked perfectly. I think I spent more time building the jig than it took to ream the heads.
sdandrea1 We're getting a new washing machine tomorrow and it's a top load. I had to remove the large shelf we had mounted just over top of our old front load washer & dryer side-by-side. Spackle, sand, paint. Ready for the new machine.
Spuzz Put this head on a FST Prowhite stepless shaft. No pics of club. I've been ferrule shamed to death. lol Thanks to @Bravopilot
LogicalOne Spuzz Iโve had my own battle with ferrules lately. Especially the stupid ones that come with adapters! ๐คจ
