Should be no issue if you take your time on low heat.
You could put a wet facecloth on the head if it makes you feel better
and on your head too if needed

LogicalOne Question: I am going to pull the shaft from the Honma fairway metal that I just bought and it has a carbon crown. It has been ages since I pulled a shaft from a carbon crown head so I was hoping some of you might have some thoughts? Thank you! 🙂

Don't use a fire breathing propane torch. My preference is the mini butane torch. Go slow and keep the flame moving on the hosel. The better your shaft puller is the easier it will go also.

Over the winter I reshafted my 9 wood....decided the stock shaft was not consistent enough. In my first
round yesterday I hit it solid several times and came up short almost every time. I think the new shaft has
a lower kick point and sends the ball higher than the stock shaft. So, today I took the new shaft out and
stuck the old stock shaft back in. We'll see if that brings the ball flight down next time out. Not to let
the new shaft go to waste, I put it in a 30* head I've had sitting around for a couple of years.....I'll put it
in the bag in place of my 5 hybrid and give it a try. Always some experiment going on with this game....

Ha ha. I have 2 pavers that I use to keep the bottom of the nex secure. I had a 3rd one in the middle, but a low hybrid shot off of it and came flying back. Two of them work just fine.

Tip: Remember that colored and striped ferrules over time in the sun will fade and many times look like crap as the irons age. Just as golf bags fade from the sun over time.

Speaking of PING - I removed the head from a buddies PING G410 6 iron as it was gaping
and creaking. Cleaned, epoxied & reset. I was surprised as it usually takes an act of Congress to
remove PING heads. Well....old PING heads anyway. Have they changed their ways ?

Apparently so. Every head I have removed since they started using ferrules has been significantly easier.

You would think just for old times sake they would at least put an additive in the epoxy to at least make it smell like burning buffalo dung like the old.

Spuzz Lol 🙂 I’m excited for our golf season to get here to get them out on the course! One sucky thing is that the Honma TW747 driver head hosel/adapter has a large outside diameter, but the ferrules I have are standard .335 ferrules. 🤨 Oh well! 🙂

@Spuzz You can always cover with a Canadian Flag sticker, like the one on your 455DB. LOL
