I'll start. Vertex AW on SK Fiber TT75R shaft. Cleveland Launcher HB 5W on UST 55 Gold R shaft.

Par4QC The damned 150 shot! I can hit it with a couple clubs now, but only through 'manipulation' of use, and not always successful. I'm looking for a 'grab it, swing it, same distance' every time I pull it out.
I could be famous again.

sdandrea1 Blind men cannot easily play golf, as far as I know.

I would need to gouge both eyes out in order to have 1 of them in my hands(again).
Had a couple when they 1st came out and wondered when I had started drinking...after ordering such things.

A couple years later, and apparently on another 🍺binge, I bought some of the XDS hybrid irons.

Finally put my PXG tip on a Paderson Kinetixx TS-D2. I'll add a mid size tour velvet and cut at 45.5 inches. This will go in my new (to me) PXG Black Ops 0311 Tour driver. I plan on playing this 9° head at the small minus setting which is -1° loft and .5° flat. I've got the heavier weight in the back.

Decided to put the 4 iron back in the bag. Pulled the hollow body SMT head off the Evenflow White 100g 6.5 and tossed on something that would match my Maltby DBM’s a bit better.

Depends which heads. Forged irons all have a uni hosel. Cast do not. Some of the wedges have the uni hosel, the Max Milled do not. There is a taper section at the bottom that allows use of .355. A .370 shaft will sit a fraction higher in the hosel then a .355.

No problem, but did think there would be a weight port for some reason. Light heads, and I hate having to use tip weights(graphite shafts) that are nothing more than adding hosel weight(ports are just a bit deeper, so..). And never a fan of lead tape and such ugliness. Should have went steel, and may change after a round or 2.
Trimmed shafts and built to length, all determined by head weight, so +.5", making them old school lofts technically speaking. We'll see how they play, but now have to adjust lie.

How did you like the SMT hollow heads? There was talk on here about them a while ack but I don’t think anyone actually had played them

Typhoon I had them. Played/felt much like the i500. Just not my cup of tea, but decent irons.
I was considering another set of them this summer but noticed a huge jump in price. Only thing I could see as to why is they now show being 'goo filled'. I don't think they were before. And I know the price jumped because I would never pay the amount now for them. jus' sayin'.
Someone on here bought them from me.

Maltby TS1 irons, 6-PW.
Mitsubishi Tensei AV series shafts, S/flex. Shafts all weighed 77g uncut.
GPTV 360 grips.

Not really what I had expected, to be honest. They are blade like, but the heel-toe length is much too long. Not really a good look, and not sure how long I'll have them unless they perform ~~outstandingly~~, ~~outrageously~~, ~~very good~~, well.
With no weight port, which I thought they had, I could only bring the very light weights up just a bit. So, I built them +.5" with tip trimming to match weight. Will need lie angles adjusted which I'll see about tomorrow.
(Pics make the heads look somewhat OS, but they are not. I just zoomed in for better clarity.)

Par4QC They look a lot like the STi and STi2 series.....

Basically it's the other way around. The TS1 came out in 2019. The took the cosmetic cues from the TS1 when they redid the STi to the STi2. Also, longer blade length is a Maltby design standard intended to move the center of gravity further from the hosel.

I was just checking the heads against other irons I have, that do not look 'long'. Must be a visual thing, due to the thin topline of the TS1, as all comparisons seem to be same lengths.

The STi model has an undercut in the cavity, the TS1 does not; doesn't even look like a cavity at all.

RR58 yeah, they made the STi2 version 2 more aesthetically pleasing. I refer to it as the STi2² ... or the WRX approved STi2 🙃. It's literally the same head with a different cavity badge. It is a very nice design. I have played it for well over a season and have nothing but positives to say even with the v1 gawdy cavity badge😉

Par4QC I would put the TS-1 inbetween a TM P770 and P790. I play the P770 and the TS-1 is maybe a touch larger to my eye. P790 is larger still. All have that blade-like look even though they are hollow. My only knock on the TS-1 was that it didn't feel that good compared to TM. TS1-IM has much better feel IMO.....maybe better goo inside?

KCee I must just get used to looking at different irons because the p790 don’t look much bigger to me than the 770. My p7 TW irons don’t look small too.

Typhoon Yes I think a lot of the "players" type irons are pretty close. I had some pics of P770 vs TS1 vs TS3 vs ts1-IM and the differences were pretty small at address. A bit more difference in the soles.

A lot of guys see my P770s in the bag and immediately think "blade", but then they pick one up and at address it looks "normal". I feel like I should play larger SGI irons, but at several fittings I just can't hit them very well.

KCee You would get used to them and probably be better off in the long run. My next set, I’d have no problem with p790’s. I had eye2 irons most of my life and never really notice the sole difference when I’m playing them, only when I turn them over and compare them to something else

Probably, but when you go for a fitting and the LM data says you hit the P770 and Miura CB irons noticeably better than anything else you don't buy the irons you hit badly. I almost walked out spending nothing and keeping my Cally Apex Pro Forged, but the P770 were more forgiving. I could have kept going with the old Eye2 irons and I'd probably still be the same handicap.....what fun would that be though?
