CallMeAl Looks like my 50Β° L1.XCW.

Whoops....had my glasses onπŸ˜„, that's not it.

Eguller

Nope....

It's actually a Mazel wedge, Forged Version.

I pulled the heavy azz steel and put in the Matrix to match the rest.

Went ahead with the build of the Takomo 101's.

Using the Tensei AV Silver shaft in R flex and some KNLY 360 grips to finish them.

Al, the Takomo 101 get great reviews… I’ve never seen a bad one and that is a KILLER combo with the Tensei shafts

    Typhoon

    I hope so.

I checked these against my 0211 DUALcor and the offset was very similar. I can live with'm.

This will be my travel set. Since I use a soft side, the airlines won't cover damage.

I'd rather have something happen to these rather than my PXG's or PING's.

    10 days later

Put together a Maltby TS1-IM 7 iron with an XCaliber RT shaft to test on my trip South soon.
I'll compare it to the TE+ V4 Black with the same shaft. Should be interesting. 🏌

      Eguller with the same shaft

      Rex likes seeing this. πŸ‘
      Head weights the same?

        Par4QC

Very close. I'll be focusing mostly on trajectory, feel, look at address and 'fun' to hit. 🏌

Eguller I put together TS1-IM 6i with RT105 and it's a great combo. Haven't tried the new TE yet but that looks really good too. Really itching to build a new set but can't decide which model as TS3 is great too.

I really like the classic blade look of the TE+ Black at address, so I’m hoping it out performs that the TS1-IM. πŸ˜‰. The TS3 is a great feeling winner of a head with a slightly thicker profile. More later. πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ

That's right where I am.....between the TE+ and the TS3. Sometime after we get back from Florida I need to get to Golfworks in Newark and hit one against the other.....

For our indoor golf pro I took the Radix out of his Exotics 4 wood which was beat. Took the Tensei Orange out of his Ping g425 3 wood. Put the radix in the Ping, left the other one apart.

d5n03 Giving up on the PTMs?

NO...!!! First, just always looking for something better.....

Second, I'm a sucker for Maltby stuff.....

Third, I've heard that some guys around here keep an extra set or two around, 'ya know....?? πŸ˜‰

fatshot Got it. I tested the TS1, TS2, the TE and the PTM when I settled on the PTMs. I just got back from the practice range where I was testing my PTMs against my KE4 S set and feel that the PTMs need to stay in the bag for now. The PTMs have the Maltby Pro Series shafts & the KE4 S clubs have Xcaliber shafts - which may be some of the difference - the Xcaliber shafts are a softer profile. I’m thinking of reshafting the KE4 set. I also have a set of Maltby M-45 irons for backups. I’ll play the M-45s when I feel my swing is in good shape. Been playing Maltby/Golfworks clubs for almost 40 years.
