scotts33 Maybe had 1. Sorry.
I used to get all my ferrules from Divotmasters up there. They were perfect fitting and stayed tight; you had to heat them before you could move them up. I've still got a lot of them that I bought a few years ago, when they were selling them(cheaply) by the 100's.
I will rough up the inside, and coat with epoxy, the ferrules I get from DTG** and a couple other places. Otherwise, they go up to the 1st step; farther on non-stepped shafts. Way too big.
Another thing, I'll bet most builders overlook, is the top of the hosel. If it's not prepped/roughed up, the ferrule is going to creep.
If I get a club in that the ferrule has moved on, I immediately pull that shaft completely. Someone did a poor job of prep, and it could also be with the shaft/hosel bond, if that ferrule is creeping. ๐คจ
**DTG now has some really nice ferrules, but they do still carry the cheap black ones which I'm talking about; oversize for all clubs, not a good fit at all.
