Been playing SL hybrid woods (Snake Eyes Quick Strike II) for the past 10+ years. Every so often briefly tried to go away from them but never for long. With the success of my SL irons using the Matrix Kujoh shafts (95 in that case), I thought I'd try again, this time not going SL for the hybrids. I've always liked the visuals on the triangular heads from 10 years ago, and the TM Superlaunch 18° (the purchase of which I documented here in another thread) was the first to get built using a Kujoh 85 hybrid shaft to 39.5". Went so well I purchased a TM Superlaunch 24° (built to 38.75") and Rescue 28° (built to 38") to add to the top end of the bag.
Yes, the ferrules need turning on the Superlaunches; that will come when they get gripped.
Even 10 years ago these heads were lighter and longer than the iron they'd replace, so I ended up adding 10 g tip weights to the Superlaunches and an 8 g tip weight to the Burner to add heft and enable a shorter clublength (my preference).
Still thought I needed something above the Superlaunch 18° and the bag was void of any Quick Strikes, so I put together this 17° Q3U with a Kujoh 85 wood shaft (built to 41" with 9 g hosel weight).
Jury is still out on this club (only had one range session) but the TMs with the Kujoh 85 hybrid shafts have been money through 2 rounds and 2 range sessions.
