Dynacraft Prophet Tour Irons

I can't find any sites that have these in stock. I've always used OEM equipment and really have zero experience with components but have always been curious to try them out. I shoot generally in the low 80's. Any other component companies I should look at? Thanks.

VaughnRoss I was actually at Hireko about 6 months ago and was standing in their lobby and they had a rack that had a full set of those for sale, fully built. I was surprised because they had been discontinued for so long but I had a set of them and liked them a lot. Its a long shot but you could call them and see if they still have them there.

The reason you can't find anyone with the Prophet Tours in stock is because they were discontinued a few years ago. The newest head in the Dynacraft lineup is the Prophet MB, but it's vastly different from the Prophet Tour because it is a forged muscleback rather than a cast blade with a "pocket cavity", and the head is also much larger at address.

Probably the closest thing to the Prophet Tour in head size and design features is the Acer XS Forged, but unfortunately those were also discontinued earlier this year and they have everything in stock except for the 8-iron. So if you can find someone with a #8 in stock (or if you don't mind taking a #7 and bending it 4 degrees) I would highly recommend trying those.

As of a month ago those built Prophets were still in the lobby. Call Hireko and ask!!

Had a set of those sometime ago. love the looks.

Can;t hit it well, trajectory was way high for me, so I traded it. The finishing on the bottom of the sole were coming off from turf contact.

Release I agree with both of those comments - they definitely do launch very high for the type of head they are, usually blade-sized heads don't launch that high, and the black finish does also wear off on the sole as well as the center of the face.

I did not own the set long enough to wear a spot on the club face.... Love the look ( appearance) very much.

I got a response from their customer support and they just said they were discontinued and did not have any in stock. And the search goes on.... anymore component companies I should check out?

VaughnRoss You should call and ask for Monica and ask if they still have that demo set in the lobby that Sl111 mentioned. Don't just ask a regular phone rep, and certainly not an email rep. If there's one thing I've learned about Hireko over the years it's that their lower-level email & phone support team know next to nothing about golf, they are just phone/email monkeys who take orders and answer basic yes/no questions (and the answer isn't always correct). You need to talk to someone higher up to actually get anywhere.

For a component, forged players cavity...I just don't see much readily available outside of the Maltby TE (which is a great head).

Cast - I'd have to take a look at the Hireko XV Tour Blade

customgolfcenter funny thing about that is when I went there the guy manning the window in the lobby is a guy who's voice is recognized from calling previously. He could eyeball that set of irons from no more than 6 feet away. But he probably doesn't even know what they are.
