Nothing is impossible, but why would he buy TM? His time in the limelight is over, he's not going to carry the brand, the people that can are not doing it enough to keep it profitable... Soooo. The worst investment one could make right now may well be in the gold industry for large sums. He could license his name to a guy like DTG and have his "own" line for profit with no risk, why do this?

Tiger has never been the most open guy but he's never, at least as I recall, given any indication that he has any interest in this area. Being an owner, or even part owner of an enterprise such as TM would require a substantial investment of time as well. For a guy with designs on returning to a competitive schedule I'm not sure how that fits. But who knows? I wonder if TM would launch a premium line under a different brand name to compete w/the likes of PXG?

But seriously, how could a golfer buy an equipment company, that also makes golf balls, while being under contract to play another company's ball???? And wear, yet another company's, clothing????

I'm guessing that he's gonna sign an equipment deal with somebody. Maybe TaylorMade.

PA-PLAYA Possible. Just read where Taylormade's player contracts are not set up as normal money based; they are incentive based. They also require the player to play a minimum number of tournaments, 20, as I read it. That would be a lot for TW.

I just receivef an email from TM and in it Woods is quoted that he is going to be playing the full line of TM woods and irons.
