very hit and miss with USPS. Had a piece of furniture that I ordered around December 10th , unbeknown to me , despite a Canadian only company, it shipped from California. It arrived in 13 days. Another small order placed 2 weeks earlier, just arrived Friday.

Weirfan I think we all know what the P.O. is going to say...….'inappropriate packaging'. Seller will be out, Kelly will get full refund, if wanted.

I usually have no problem with USPS, going or coming, but this has gotten out of hand. And, all this happening after Christmas!

i've never had to make a claim for a damaged item ( just lost) but who mediates a disputes and determines that this is the sellers fault ? ebay, paypal ? Certainly not USPS. I cant see either blaming the seller , not even Kelly .....

Weirfan Certainly not blaming the seller at all (even stated that in the message to the seller). Just wanting to work with the seller to help determine next steps so this can be resolved. If the seller can’t help then so be it...on to the next step. 🙂

My take on workers today are that they are after the check. Could give a damn about how they get it. Witness the fact of the big paychecks today vs. the quality(of anything) you may purchase; even warranties/money back guarantees are crap, or come with strings attached.

Nope, not blaming anyone. Just stating facts. USPS will most times dispute, esp. when insurance is involved. They say the box should have been packed to prevent crushing...….inappropriate packaging.

I never understand how this stuff happens. I worked for UPS when I was in college around 1970. Entry job was unloading the 40' trailers to the sorting aisle. Next rung up the ladder was loading the 40' trailers as they came off of the conveyor and placed in your truck by the sorter. You packed the packages in to keep them from moving and did not place heavy packages on top of light ones or put a long package like the one shown in a vulnerable position. You didn't just chuck boxes into the trailer like firewood. Granted that was 50 years ago but but I can't believe people are that stupid. I would take the package down to the PO and ask why was this delivered to the house in that condition. Perhaps the damage occurred while on some sorting equipment or conveyors but it should have been stopped and reported as damaged at the point of damage. If it is now the USPS policy to just ship obviously damaged shit to the customer and let them sort it out that is pretty sad.

Priority Mail is supposedly automatically insured for $50. If it was delivered that way, USPS should honor that, at the very least.

And for us who ship sets of iron heads -- it is a pain to get them into that small box, especially if there's more than one wedge, or 9 or 10 heads. But for pretty much the same price, get a Priority Mail bubble envelope, and then use a slightly larger box inside the envelope. If your local post office doesn't have them in stock, you can order them for free and they'll deliver them to you. You can easily get a box of golf balls in there, and the legal size bubble envelopes can fit two golf ball boxes.

100% agree on the flat rate padded envelopes. You can easily fit a full set of heads, 4 dozen loose golf balls (I double bag these), or a driver head in a small box fit into the envelope for $7.55 anywhere in the US.

I know times have changed. I had a job at a nice pay that I appreciated and I knew if I didn't perform well there was someone else waiting in line for it. Plus I took pride in whatever I did.

rynobucket I soften the corners of the boxes going in the padded flat rate envelope so it makes it less likely they will cause a hole and potentially break thru. But yeah this is a good way to ship iron heads. Even using a small fr box inside a standard (non padded) fr envelope works well, if shipping a few iron heads. I also use additional tape on both ends to reinforce/strengthen the envelope. Cheers to my frugal and creative buzzheads😉

LogicalOne ugh....what a buzzkill! Hopefully you get enough to cover the reshaft.....of course you won't get back time spent dealing with the hassle but at least get the putter in working order!

The eBay seller was awesome. They just asked for some additional images and sent out a replacement with a return label. I did give the USPS an earful (via dm on Twitter), not that it will do any good. I am just struggling to understand how they could deliver it in this condition without saying anything. 🤷🏼‍♂️

LogicalOne That's a damn good seller! But it's what one would/should expect with any company. Take the damage back, send out a new product, deal with the USPS, no hassle for the customer, leaving them happy for future sales.

You might want to post this seller, so we can all know.

It's an unfortunate trend. I see it in homebuilding, and many other contractor services lately. Workers have no pride in their finished product, just in it for the $. We moved into a new home 5 years ago built by Pulte in a Del Webb community. It was a mass produced model that was stick built on site but the coordination of all the subs was just mediocre at best. NOBODY on any of those jobs was doing their part as if they would be the owner of the finished product. The guys that did the final grade just smoothed the existing soil over whatever concrete slag or carpenrty scraps were laying there. They even graded dirt over the gutter pop-up reliefs. The sod guys come in and throw sod down over the final grade ignoring the fact that there are no gutter reliefs. I've had to go back and find and dig up/clear those popups and dig up all the scrap they buried because the sod was dying in those spots. This is just one example. I hate to be that guy that stands around while contractors are doing work for me, but it's clear most of them need supervision.

It’s ksouth9. That seller has a lot of golf equipment it seems.

I also bought a new M4 driver for $155, which seemed like a pretty good deal, from tee2green6931. The transaction was great and that seller has a lot of golf equipment too (obviously from the name). Haven’t got to swing the M4 though (weather/health issues), but upon inspection, everything is great (new in wrapper w/headcover and wrench).

There are some really great deals on Ebay right now, along with many other sites. Trying to control my impulses. But...only 55 days til Spring! 😃
