I went played Thornberry Creek this afternoon with a buddy and pulled out the TC. Looks great at address. First drive hit a nice baby fade with it that went 264y. It was neck and neck with my regular Ping G LST. TC is more compact heel to toe and appears slightly taller face (??). Since I already play a driver with fins it did not bother me in the least. I guess you can say that look has grown on me. I found the center of the face on most hits and the ones that weren't were slight mishits.....distance was still good! I won't comment much on feel other than to say I'm not the guy to ask, feel is overrated! It felt like a driver....I play a ping and they aren't really known for feel in drivers. I busted out the wrench and adjusted to +neutral, no difference in the way it looked, same for /low. It naturally appears to sit open in the stock setting .... When you sole it and then let go of the grip, it pops open a bit more so it wants to sole naturally open faced! That feels more natural to me, and I like that! I had one that ballooned into the wind and it still carried a bunker ~ 220 out and was a good result considering. The other memorable drive I hit was on 13......par 5, bunkers left and right. 237 to carry the bunkers on the left and I hit a nice baby fade that cleared them easily. Had 227 to the pin which is uphill and guarded back and right. I hit 5w and it leaked ever so slightly and caught the right bunker. Blind bunker shot to a green that was running away ...pulled it off and got the bird. Great hole. Anyways the ones I hit right on the button was a nice mid piercing trajectory which is what I like. Really nice stick.
My only complaint is the adapter is a bit fussy to get the screw centered/started to tighten. Had to tilt the head to get it to level off and allow to tighten. Not sure what's up with that.....it's minor and maybe could be this particular head/demo.
Cheers!
