Had a beautiful, sunny day with super soggy course conditions to test the KE4 TC. It was difficult
to assess if the TC was longer than the PING, but it was easily the equal. I'm about 70% sure that it
would have more roll-out. Unless you like a loud, metallic driver sound, you should like this one.
Paawhack..may be the best description of the sound. Me likey.
Slicers may want to look elsewhere. In the N+ position, a neutral swing produced a slight fade. I'd say
it was easier to eliminate the left side of the course than the right. I did like the adapter sleeve and the
ability to keep the shaft alignment, but found the Callaway more versatile and to my liking. Not bad though.
Trajectory control was easy no matter the adapter setting. High speed swingers may find the trajectory too
high unless they gear it way down. Face impacts show center with just a little tendency toward the toe.
SW ? Slower swinging players should not be hesitant to try it with the right shaft. It will fit a wide number
of players. Those who like an extended length driver are in business as the head comes in lighter than
standard with the 8g weight. I substituted a 12g for it and still had to add just a bit of HD lead tape to get
it to D1 at 45" - Matrix Speed Rulz shaft.
Bottom line so far - Fun to hit, enjoyable sound/feel, long as anything and versatile. Will I get one ?
Not sure that it will beat my gamer, but I'll hit it again tomorrow just to be sure....lol
Oh, keep in mind that I am comparing a $175 or so driver to a $400 OEM that I really like.
i can safely say that it will make a lot of players happy.
