Bought a Callaway Rogue 4 wood on a whim last spring having never owned a Callaway club of any sort in the past. It worked well for me, but I don't really know if it's anything special. I got it to replace my old 3 wood since my ability to launch a 3 wood off the grass has disappeared for the most part due to a combination of poor consistency in ball position (I rarely find myself with fairway wood distances to the green so I don't play the shot often) and marginal swing speed.
I do have an easier time hitting the Rogue off the fairway. I attribute that more to having 2 extra degrees of loft than to the club head itself. I hit it about 210, which is about 10 yards less than my 15 degree 3 wood and about what I expected. Nothing special in it for me distance wise, but good performance last year when I tried it. I did hook it quite a bit to start, but gradually opened it up until I found the right alignment. I still find myself using it far more often off the tee than from the fairway though, and it's worked well in that application, particularly when there is trouble to the right.
