Walked into a play it again sports and among the usual suspects there was a MY 420 in 12 degree loft, with a Prolaunch Blue and a Winn grip. Head was a little scratched up. No pattern at all to the marks on the face....must've been owned by a real hack.
Anyway, they were asking $20. I was surely tempted.
If you saw that, would you pay the twenty, offer fifteen, or just walk away and be happy you didn't buy it?

If a 12* fit my game, I'd have bought it. Would have offered $15, as you thought to, but would have paid the $20. Not much diff in heads the last several years; at least not for me.

Walk away and be happy. That wasn't one of the greats anyway. Beat up and 15 years old, nah.

I had one of those! I hit one of the two 300 yard drives I've ever hit with that club. But I sold it long ago.

rsvman just walk away and be happy you didn't buy it

    For that particular one anyway.

I'd take a 12 or 14* in better shape though

I had one when they first came out, with a yellow shaft to boot.....

Both my wife and I had one with a yellow shaft, also had a 3 wood and 5 wood with the same Harrison yellow shafts. Actually I still have mine but have not put it in play in some years. The BangOMatic knocked it out of the bag.

I have a BangOMatic in my garage, as well. Currently gaming a Wishon driver.

Still thinking about offering $15, though, just to give it a go and see whether it suits me. I never got a chance to try one of these back in the day. My first Bang driver was the BangOMatic.

I have a 9* with MY head cover that's probably a 9 on the rating scale. Anybody interested,? 30 shipped.

I been playing the same driver for 3 yrs now.
Sold a lot, a lot more stuck in the back corner of the closet. Looking for that frickin wedge that behaves now.

Moeman I been playing the same driver for 3 yrs now.

Exactly how does one do that?

          Probably would have bought it.

BTW, great to see you, rsvman. 🙂

No offense intended, but it's one ugly driver.

Found 1 that works... I still give tryouts.... Couple trips to the range.... Then they go in the closet....
Well, I been playing the same head. Had about 6 shafts in the thing. But nothing has changed for at least a year.

I probably would have given it a try because I never trued one when they were new. I currently play a Wishon 949MC which has to be about 10 years old, maybe more. I remember it was out when the original Nike square came out. As long and forgiving as anything I've hit since.
I remember when the Nike came out with the square and it's 5000 moi ,and how that was such a big deal. My Ostrich measured a bunch of heads and the 949 was something like 4900.
Do they even still measure new drivers for moi anymore? Would be interesting to see where they're at.
