Not familiar with that one off the top of my head. I should've said it's head hunting even if it's with your shoulder. Birkett hitting Antonio Brown this past season comes to mind. They have to limit the hits to the head as much as possible. Unintentional hits should be a lesser penalty, but intentional head hunting should be a big deal IMO.

It has been and will continue to be very difficult for the referees to consistently get it right. There's a legitimate argument that more referees are needed, which could potentially help in the long run. But even then - I believe the speed of the game alone makes it extremely difficult to get right 100% of the time.

Until the NFLPA and the League can get on the same sheet of music... maybe coming to a mutual agreement that a player who was targeted above the head and subsequently received a concussion and a 2-game period before being medically cleared to return - that the offending player must also serve a 2-game suspension (or however long before the concussed player is cleared to play) before they also can return to play - this will continue to be a problem. Fines will not resolve the issue. You take players off the field of play, which can significantly impact a team and their chances in the post-season - you'll start to see less and less of it.

Fining multi-millionaire players $25k, which ultimately goes to a charity of their eventual choosing, is not enough of a deterrent to resolve the problem.

Just couldn't figure out why they would harness Cousins' arm. He's got a good arm, an accurate arm. Pitt was only rushing three guys most of the night, yet dink-and-dunk seemed to be the strategy.

Occasionally you gotta put points on the board, especially if your D ain't getting it done. Didn't understand why they kept taking the 4-5 yards underneath when they clearly needed to let DeSean Jackson do his thing. Or at least try.

They'll be better, but not the start they wanted. I didn't expect them to beat Pitt, but I expected them to give them a better game.

Yeah, I was more nervous not having Gronk and 2 new tackles. The TD pass was definitely what he needed. I loved how relaxed he looked when he floated it in there.

I would have loved to hear all the naysayers on weei if they had lost.

Great week 1....lotta close games, psyched for the year.

Fav play of the day was Big Ben to Brown on 4th and 1....that was sweet.

My beloved Pack get out of town with a win, they looked flat IMO. I was impressed with Bortles, Robinson and Hurns at WR and Thomas at TE....maybe they have something in Jacksonville!

Bears offense is struggling with growing pains in pass protection and their 2nd year WR Kevin White in running routes.

Cutler was sacked 5 times by the Texans and Cutler didn't hold the ball too long.The protection was very good at times, but when it wasn't Cutler took some brutal shots. This was the first game with 4 new starters, on the O-line, so I'll wait and see.

Defense overall looked pretty good, not having DB Kyle Fuller is hurting, but the front 7 look good.

Monday night the Eagles come to Chicago, should be a good game.

Brad, do you think Cutler is ever going to be the answer in Chicago? Just curious to hear a Bears fan's viewpoint.

Unfortunately no.

I think he has talent, but the Bears as an organization seem to not know how to run an offense in the NFL. 6 O-Cos in 7 years!!!! Chicago does not know how to develop a QB. I think Adam Gase was their guy, but so did the Dolphins.

Cutler had a good year last year, actually better than Aaron Rodgers numbers in 2015, but Rodgers had a down year losing Finley.

Cutler will be released after the season is over and will free up 14 million in cap space for the Bears and I expect them to draft a QB. Hoyer will be cheap in the interim. I expect Cutler to join Adam Gase with the Dolphins and Cutler will challenge for QB.

I really don't expect John Fox to last, but this season so far isn't his fault. The injury bug has bitten the Bears badly.

Thank God for the distraction provided by the Cubs.

Rex Ryan: "I'll be the first m*** f** to go if we don't start winning this season."

So much for promises. Ryan fired offensive coordinator Greg Roman this morning, after losing last night against the Jets and going 0-2. And based on his defense giving up 493 yards in the losing effort, one has to wonder what more Roman could've offered as his offense put 31 points on the board. Not that I'm arguing Roman is the guy for the job, mind you... just providing some perspective. It's also worth noting that the year before Ryan took over, the Bills defense was ranked 4th in the league. A season after he took over - it was ranked 19th. So there's a little more perspective.

With both the Cards and the Pats on the schedule for the next two upcoming games, things aren't looking so well for Ryan. Question is: if they do go 0-4, perhaps even 0-3 with losing against Arizona before even traveling to New England, will Rex Ryan fire himself? Or will Pegula assume the honors?
