These shafts are really inviting, but I'm a little confused (which is pretty much my normal state).

According to the RBG site, these shafts are .370 tip (parallel, I assume). However, according to the 2016 Srixon catalog [https://www.srixon.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-Srixon-Library/default/dwa9964bab/pdf/Srixon-Custom-Catalog.pdf]:

the Kaula Iron 7 shafts, used in the Z565, 765, and 965 irons, are .355 tip (and a torque of 3.4 for those interested in that aspect of the shaft). T
the Miyazaki Jinsoku are used in the Z355 irons (which someone cited above), which have a .362 (?!) shaft and a torque of 3.0. (I guess .362 is equivalent to a .370 shaft, considering it's only 8/1000" smaller).

Thoughts?

I did measure the tips and they both (Kaula 7 and Jinsoku) come out at 0.370". Jinsoku has 6" parallel section.

Kaula is a "for Utility" shaft and has 4" parallel section. That could work for a smaller iron set (6 or less) although I am not sure if the graphics would fall under the grip.

Sparky It looks like they are back to $4 each. Now that I have the $1.50 price anchored in my mind, I can't pull the trigger at $4. But if I only knew about them at $4, I would buy.

Now the page had a price of $3 each for 8 or more. So I ordered 10. I'm putting them into STi heads that I have.

Anybody put these into play yet? Opinions? I just stuck mine in some Cobra One Length's I picked up from ColeJ. Probably won't get to try them till Monday. they look good though.

I put one of the Kaula 7s in a Cobra hybrid, replacing a Recoil 680. First couple of times out I really like it.

I was going to put the Jinsoku's in a Purefit MB/CB combo set, but after a couple more stellar rounds from my Maltby TS1s I may not do any iron building for a while.

I will be trying the Jinsoku's in some Pinhawk SL irons this weekend
or next week - depending on the weather. Let you know what I think
of them after the tryout.

I picked up some of all of it. The wood shafts were $8? At that price it’s hard to go wrong.

I bought 10 of the Jinsoku R flex iron shafts at $3 each. Today I profiled 3 of them from butt to tip, and all 10 on the last two tip measurements. This is using the Wishon type measurements with 454g weight, measuring CPM from 36" beam length to 11", in 5" increments. The numbers are: 207/228/275/342/493/833.
A quick look in the spreadsheet tells me the numbers are similar to Wishon S2S White R but this shaft has a bit stiffer tip.

The average torque of 3 shafts was 3.3 degrees.

Weights were evenly split between 74 and 75 grams.
All of the measurements were quite consistent.

However, if you care, it is a high balance point shaft. It says MBP on the shaft, but I measured.
From tip, 20.375". From butt: 18.625". Overall is 39". I don't think the shorter shaft accounts for the BP being high. Usually the shafts are about same weight per inch at the tip as at the butt.

I put the kuala 7 hybrid shaft in a Adams pro head I got in the cheap from diamond tour. I didn’t get to hit it a whole lot but my first impressions are very good. Very nice feel and nice mid high ball flight.

colej I have one of the Kuala 6 driver shafts. Very nice, and would be much nicer for a stronger swing than mine. Tip is a bit firm for my liking, but is a very stable shaft overall. I played it at 46 1/2" to make sure I could flex it. 😅 And it's a 5533 flex.

I’ve got that shaft as well in stiff. Haven’t had a chance to try it out yet.

Weather turned cold so have not been able to try out
the Jinsoku shafts yet. Will probably have to wait till
spring or maybe hit the simulator.
