The Shattuck. They were after the Sr. PGA to play a tournament there and they said no because it was too tough.

Played it once because I had a free round there. Took a friend who wasn’t good and he wanted to take his father, who was awful. I lied and told him we were in a foursome. He called the course and of course it was only 2 of us so he added him in. He calls me to tell me…. I said, “ stop at a range on the way up, buy him a large bucket and dump it in his bag, he’s gonna need it.”
I’ll never forget the number…..have you ever seen someone shoot 158? I did….
Course was all targets and crazy drop offs where you couldn’t even go look for a ball.
Although that was the toughest rated, maybe the old International in Bolton, MA was the toughest because from the Tiger tees it was well over 8,000 yards. The par 3’s were all fairway woods, every hole was crazy long. The course was best known for its 760 yard dog leg left par 6 with a green that was 100 yards front to back with 3 levels.
