Spuzz my personal feeling.on slow play on pga tour is I've come not to care, I'm watching it to watch golf, my gripe is more to do with the coverage, show more golf dammit. And only on the last whole with BD does it prevent the broadcast from showing any other golf, as their are still guys on the course every other hole, even putting out before his approach on 18, so IMO it's a non issue or it should be a non issue!
Now as it relates to slow play in real life, yeah we are fubar and have been for a while now. packed courses will be 4.5 - 5+ hour rds. The answer is be first off or play a course thats not packed or go private. 4 should be the max it takes to play a round, but we are so far past that its past the point of reasonably fixing. If I can get around in 4.5 or less on a busy day I'm tickled pink and that is still SLOW. My dad, bro, and I with a friend can get around in 3.5 easy if no one in front of us. And these are golfers shooting 85-100+!
