World Long Drive 2019 Spoiler Alert

Sitting around waiting for this knee to heal, I've been watching this year's WLD. Good stuff.

World #1 (Berkshire) hit his 1st 7 shots OB and needed a big one to advance beyond round 1. He pummeled his 8th (last) drive past his competitor.......whew. Just found out he won, but I'm gonna watch the replay today.

Chloe Garner (bucket hat girl and my fav) beats the British Beast (Meti) with a slimmer athletic build ala Sadlowski.

The most impressive feat I witnessed, however, was in one of the men's open class round 1matches. One of the competitors was frustrated by hitting all 8 shots OB and he snapped his driver shaft in half. He did NOT leverage it over his knee or waist or the ground. He just gripped it at each end and snapped that XStiff shaft into splinters.......holy shit.

Twice as big as last year!! And that ass....huge!! And I did notice some of the other competitors were also much larger than before....Meti's arms/legs have gotten huge. Critter is much larger everywhere, chest, arms, legs.
Think they need some stringent testing at this meet. Esp. after watching Chloe's workouts on Instagram vs. what she looks like now and a year ago; basically the same & vs. what the others look like now vs. last year. Glad she got the belt!

Meti is from New Zealand....and YES Berkshire is the new kid (only 22) on the tee box,
who could and should dominate the sport for years to come.
He's just going to get better and loooonger!
Good to see Chloe win.....by just 1 yard!
I can only imagine what she'll get for a new tat now.
My only gripe about the World Finals,they're not held in Mesquite anymore!

My bad, thank you. I didn't think Meti would be beatable, but the Sadlowski factor prevails. The new men's champ is giving up height and weight to many of his opponents too. Interesting how size and muscle helps but it still comes down to timing.

Additional note, Troy Mullins is one of the most beautiful girls ever, but her legs might actually be bigger than Earl Campbell's.

I thought I saw a headline that there was a controversy in this year's WLD but didn't open the article. Did I miss something? I figured one of our walking wounded and thus relegated to couch potato status would fill us in if it was of interest.

Then he also needs glasses to see which direction the towel is pointing!

They could also line the tees or balls for direction, I suppose.
He is kinda quirky. Never stops hitting balls as the competition is going on. He had a chart of the grid that makes PGA yardage books look like comic books.

Sarnella Yeah, it was just a whole page of paper that he had drawn landing areas on. It would show potential direction of roll. Left side of grid was prone to rolling OB, right side would bring the ball back in.
They had a ton of rain last week where the whole grid was under water and so there were still several very soft spots in the landing area. There wasn't much roll of any kind to start with, mostly carry.

Loved both of them winning, been following that pair for the last couple years. She went to school here in Tennessee and played golf at East Tennessee State University (ETSU).
