He's a hard one to figure out. His putting has not been exactly great this season, but then again perhaps he's got some things weighing on his mind outside of golf. He's a family man now, so hopefully some of his old demons aren't resurfacing. Just getting adjusted to a different lifestyle can be a distraction.

PA-PLAYA - I just checked his record this season and he finished 2nd in both the Masters and then the PGA in May. Since then, the best finishes have been a pair of T-20th. Yikes.
I wonder if perhaps the Brooks factor has put a slight chink in his armor. But he has struggled this summer with his putting. One tournament not too many weeks back he actually tried the claw grip and left-hand-low in the same round.
It's amazing how quickly some of those guys can just lose all confidence in something as simple as stroking a putt. It gets in their heads and they melt like butter.
Thomas had relinquished his lead earlier this morning to 3 players (Xander, Brooks, Rory Mac). A few holes later and he is in meltdown mode finally making a triple bogey 7 on the 16th. This was accomplished by playing like me...nice drive, shank, chunk, shank, and 3 putts. No hazards, trees, bunkers, penalty strokes...just one big brain fart.
Looks like it’s just a 5 way playoff now. Should be a fun afternoon if the weather doesn’t hurt any more people.

mikeintopeka Where is Dustin Johnson hiding his swing? He is one shot out of last place and hasn't made much noise for awhile this season.
My question answered! DJ needs arthroscopic surgery on a knee. Kudos to DJ for keeping it under wraps and not using it as an excuse during his slide this season.
