  • Phil Mickelson's Body Transformation

That's impressive at his age. I just saw him recently in some tournament and didn't notice him being much thinner, not that I'm checking Phil's body out. He did have a big boy's haircut though. Much better than that long cut that made him look like Mrs Doubtfire.

garyt1957 - I read where this was a crash diet (10 days and -15#s)?. Reports are he is feeling a lot better eating healthier and time in the fitness facility.

He looks great! Sure garyt1957 you weren't checking his body out. LOL.

I first thought ...man, steroids work for guys Phil's age? I may have to look into that.

I saw someone respond that this is what happens when you decide to starve yourself. I may do it. I've gone 5 full days without food before. Wonder if I could do 10...5 was rough.

Interesting photo. He did not look that thin last weekend. I'll have what he's having.

I know from personal experience just how much better my body feels carrying around just 15 less pounds. So imagine having his arthritic condition, walking as much as he walks, swinging a golf club as many times as he does over the span of a year. It's good that he's doing what he needs to do to manage his health.

Although his career achievements pale in comparison to Tiger's, I bet Woody would give up a few majors to be able to enjoy a more active lifestyle with his kids, if not now, probably later on down the road. Golf takes a toll on some of those guys, Gary Player doesn't represent the norm.

way back in the early days following University I did a lot of speaking, training and education on diet , exercise, nutrition etc. One example , I would always do was take a person from the class or audience and have them walk around the room for 2-3 minutes , do a few movements up and down as i spoke, had them report how they felt, take heartbrate , respiration etc....then had them wear a pack with 25lbs in it and do same and report.....

now imagine carrying that around all day every day

          good on Phil....

Will help with bombing and gouging, as well as pace of play.....good on you lefty!
