Yes, 100% certain things here didn't seem legit. IE: Emails not received...tracking not sent. Gaps in communication. These are VERY simple normal parts of EVERY legitimate deal. Not taking care of these simple details warranted concern. The fact the putter arrived isn't germane to having concern which, again, was completely normal and warranted.

You're a smart guy but you've let your personal feelings toward certain members skew your ability to see clearly and objectively. All this grace and believing in the good of people that you showered this member in this thread with has been completely missing with me. You've moved into full on character and personal assault of me as a human being. Very interesting to see the dichotomy in your approach. Not consistent for sure.

Well, not to be getting on your case, but you really should rethink that statement. If you want sales on the other items you've listed, you better hope like hell his pics match up with your description. Otherwise, you'll never sell anything here. In case you haven't noticed, this place can be just a 'bit' judgmental.

And also, I'd lose that attitude.

mikeintopeka "Sale on the Interwebs." Reminds me of the time many years ago when I bought a camera off EBay from a guy in Toronto. My wife and I went to his house to pick it up and he poured us both a glass of wine, and we sat and visited with him for more than an hour. When I commented to him that this was the most civilized transaction I had ever experienced, he went to a drawer and pulled out a couple of hand-signed Christmas cards he had received from EBay's founder. He told us that he received the cards because he was among the first people to complete an EBay transaction. Apparently he bought a camera lens worth quite a few thousand dollars from a guy in Texas (I can't recall, but I believe he said the lens was worth almost $10K -- I may be mistaken). After he won the auction, the seller contacted him to ask how he wanted to go about completing the transaction. The guy in Toronto told him, "I'll just send you the money and you send me the lens when you get it. I trust you." The guy in Texas said, "You're nuts! But, okay." He sent the money and the lens arrived a week later.

I still believe that the majority of people, by far, are good.

It's really not necessary for me to hope that his pictures match up with my description. . I know that the putters in almost mint condition and I know that he's happy or will be extremely happy with not only the putter but the price he paid for it. . Now for you misconstrue my words in regards to me only caring about his satisfaction. That is absolutely true in regards to this particular situation. He's the buyer and my intended interpretation for that statement Is that all I care about Is the person buying an item from me? I don't care about anybody else posted on the side that goes for any person who buys something from me. I care about the buyer satisfaction not spectators. Also, Was intelligent enough to know that he never had to worry for the simple fact that he paid through PayPal goods and services. There is absolutely no way you can get ripped off.

Understood sbrady. That being said, this forum goes beyond PayPal protection. I understand you had no phone for a few days. No communication for that many days is not cool here when you have a sale pending. I have now seen the club with my own eyes and it is great. Thanks

This might be true in most cases. However, nobody wants to go through the hassle of opening a case with PayPal. I've had to do it and I never look forward to it.

Hope you sell everything you have listed. Low ball offers are king. Just wait. 😂

This whole vetting the new guy had to be uncomfortable. I hope I didn't add to your discomfort. Well, maybe it wasn't too bad with you being out of touch for days. Ha!

glad to hear that!.. I do apologize for my lack of communication throughout the shipping process, it's not how i would have preferred to handle the sale, I truly would have found a way to contact you had i not assumed you would have received an update with tracking info and shipping status from PayPal.. Hopefully you'll enjoy the putter, I'll definitely miss it.

I've been in sales my whole life...I think I would have worded if differently if I was trying to get customers to buy my stuff.

Yeah, I wasn't really too worried about it like you said cuz I didn't see what was going on. Yeah, I've got so much more stuff to sell to I just haven't got a chance to post it yet. But with that being said, I'm all about giving people a deal the way I see it. If I sell golf clubs back two companies like Club Brokers or 2nd Swing they give you Pennies on the dollar. And turn around Turn around and sell it to customers. For close to retail so if I can give somebody a deal. Most likely they'll be getting items cheaper for me than they will use Club stores and I'll be making more money than I would trade them in. Sorry for spelling and grammar using voice text.

Know what I was referring to is that when you as a seller add tracking to the PayPal transaction I thought it notified the seller through email with tracking information automatically

I usually try to price stuff at or just above trade-in value (sometimes below and sometimes I just give it away). That gives my buddies here a chance at a deal before I trade it. On the other hand, I try to BUY everything for $12..........................shipped.

You shouldn't have to enter an address to PayPal it should come attached to the payment. For future reference.

LBlack14 Unless you print the label through PayPal, you have to go back and enter the tracking # & method of shipping. That way PP knows it was shipped and can then forward info to the buyer. If you do not enter the info, and any dispute comes up, PP backs buyer 100%, regardless of anything seller might say.

Par4QC Exactly, which is why I make sure I always go and enter it if I don't buy through PP shipping.

bad9 I will always print the label in Ebay/PP shipping. Just makes sense as it is cheaper, and everything is automatically forwarded/listed. Labels cannot be printed if funds are sent F&F though, but you still can go back and enter tracking.

I always use PayPal shipping unless the money is gifted.
