Typhoon ve finally been hitting the M2 well to the point where I could compare it to another driver hit well.
So here's the deal. The Ping G400 max is just as long as my 2016 M2 and arrow straight. The Ping is louder which translates into a harder feel but no big deal. The M2 is muted.
I think with time the Ping might be longer as I get used to it. Both drivers are in the trunk. I bet there is no talking going on between them.
Ok, so it's time for an update.
I was hitting the MAX so good I finally took the M2 out of the trunk. Like I said in my original post that I just quoted, " if I spend more time with the MAX, I think it'll be longer.".
Yes it is.
I'm really not putting a hard swing on it and it's arrow straight, high and long. I judge by a couple holes on my course where you don't hit into a hill.
#1 M2 I've got 100-110 in. With the MAX is 80-90.
#3 has a bit of a hill being an uphill hole most of the way. M2 I have 90 yards in, almost top of the hill with a now blind shot. MAX I carry the hill and have 35-50 yards left.
#7 has a nice flat landing area. M2 I have 120-125 in. MAX leaves me with 100.
#9 has a valley at 130 and them up a steep hill to 100. If I kill the M2 I get it 110 but most of the time I'm 130. Not hitting the MAX hard I have 95...suprised myself so much I went to the wrong ball yesterday not knowing mine was up that far.
This club is amazing. I'm glad I tried it for myself. All I kept hearing was " too much spin, too high of a ballflight..." " goes nowhere but is straight.". Well at first I liked the accuracy even if it was the same distance or a bit less than the M2. But one of the things I told people even at demo day and here, u have sooo much confidence to hit it hard knowing it'll end up ok.
I'm not even trying to bust it and I'm perfectly happy.
