Might be the best coverage for where you are locally, but I dropped Verizon after my reception started becoming problematic in the area I live. More specifically - in my actual house. They told me it was an issue with my house, not the phone (it was a newer model) nor their service per say. So my neighbor had AT&T, he had no issues with reception in my house. I said screw this. If I have to drive 5 miles to use my phone - it's worthless. I switched to AT&T for that reason alone.
Having said that, there are certain areas within 5 miles where my AT&T reception just sucks. I'm guessing that's more of a product of the local townships and not permitting more cellphone towers being installed. I will say that AT&T customer service has generally been pretty good. Verizon was awful in that regard.
But everyone has a different story/situation, and reasons for choosing one over the other, etc.
