Yes, we manufacture & sell a new Hybrid golf ball for time efficient and economical golf on shorter golf facilities! This unique ball has been "Distance-to-Weight" proportionally adjusted, allowing the same full par & play golf experience as found on a standard full sized course in 1/2 the time,,,,,There I've said it and I feel good!
But, that isn't the reason why I'm here. We're looking for response from the experienced golfer's of this forum, on how this may affect the future of the game. We have already interviewed thousands of people not playing the game, as to why?...and their thoughts on making the game more culturally acceptable. As we know, Time, Cost and Difficulty are the main reasons for the games demize, but the truth is that the wonderful computer age has changed our psyche of acceptance and as a result the old slow traditional golf game of our father's era, can't conform and has taken it on the chin! The new generations consider golf as a complete turn-off, not interested, golfa-non-grada and who can blame them with expensive, 4 1/2 to 6 hour rounds, costly equipment and a loooong learning curve the norm. In the next few decades as those currently playing the game fade away, who will bolster the numbers with nobody coming?
So maybe we better offer better alternatives.... our 60% Hybrid golf concept being one, is to reduce golf ball length proportionately in scale, that will reduce the course in proportionate length, which will reduce the time to play by half, which will reduce the expense of play, which reduce the land-use needed, which will reduce eco water & chemical usage, which will conform to modern activity & safety requirements, which will make the game sustainable for more to enjoy....etc., etc.....etc.
Anyway, looking forward to more insightful feedback,
