Hickorygolf59 Rickochet Mainly use this for walking solo during the week. Just getting out for exercise and peace of mind outdoors. Compact, fun. Second use is for travel. Heading to Texas and California, Lord willing this year to play with some good friends. Yes, it will be competitive and I will have to really step up my game with only seven clubs on their turf. Will be playing Sr. tees fortunately. I score about the same with minimal vs full set of clubs.
Hickorygolf59 Built the Miura's myself to my personal specs. Curretly their are a lot of NOS Miura heads on Ebay right now for $50- $89 range. Apparently USA distributor discovered a cache from 10 years ago unopened and selling them off. Shafts are new Callaway RCH 99 Sr. Flex requiring a smooth swing. Cut the #7 to 37.5" and the AW to 36.25". Grips are Karma Cross lines similar to Lamkin cross lines which are my favs. Played Hogan forged clubs for years and have only hit these in the net for comparison but they are sweet! Sweet spot is super balanced. These are a forged face cavity back design. Looking for matching Miura 8 iron to complete the set. Can't wait to get out and play these. Cheers.
SVonhof For those that really don't need much to play a short course or go to the range and don't want your clubs sliding all over the place in the trunk, how about this? Holds 6 clubs, and 3 tees and has a ball marker built in as well.
Hickorygolf59 Added a Louisville Golf 3 wood persimmon niblick. 16* and graphite shaft, jumbo grip. I am crushing this club. Most forgiving gear effect I've ever seen in a club. Right up there with Cally steelhead fairways I used to game. The Miura's are beyond describing other than telling a friend "they are not clubs, they are instruments". Shooting high eighties this spring but adjusting to six club set up and swing change of Hogan elbows. Think I'm going to have to add a 4 iron to the mix and try to shave off 3 strokes. Having a few high end clubs are a treat for me but it still comes down to: "Can you hit em Margaret?" Ha. Cheers.![ ](https://)
sdandrea1 Going out with the grandson tomorrow. Taking my PING G SFT, The Perfect Club, Cally 7h, Adams Idea 9i, W, Cleveland CBX 52*, PING Nome putter. See what I can post with 7 stix.
sdandrea1 Subsonic Did you score one of those Ping GSFT from PIAS? Nope, I've had one for a bit. Both of yours went there.......probably sold by now.
azgreg According to some dude over at the long hitters forum this is the winner's bag for the Japan Mizuno Open.
scotts33 azgreg According to some dude over at the long hitters forum this is the winner's bag for the Japan Mizuno Open. 11 clubs in my bag isn't Minimalist Golf. Probably is for guys that carry 14 all the time. 11-12 is about what I would ever carry and I would consider a full set. JMO.
sdandrea1 scotts33 11 clubs in my bag isn't Minimalist Golf. Same here. 11 is my full set. Juvic showed that you don't need 14, tho.

Great result. Kinda of interesting without caddy. During Covid last year at Women's British when all (players and caddies) had to be in bubble some ladies pushed a cart and didn't have a caddy. Some of the ladies did very well.
scotts33 azgreg For a pro it is. +1! As, I said great result. Proves you don't need 14 even at the professional level. I suppose course conditions and layout also factor in. As, I usually play 7 clubs you get used to what you have in the bag and develop a different kind of game. It proves more difficult when you have more forced carries. I don't play many courses that have forced carry yardages.
sdandrea1 scotts33 I don't play many courses that have forced carry yardages. I wish. Only true in Florida for me.
scotts33 sdandrea1 I wish. Only true in Florida for me. I stay away from modern power cart courses. Modern power cart courses are the ones with forced carry ie. Pete Dye. Old time muni type courses around here are walking and short distance between green and next tee kinda like Colonial. ☺
garyt1957 sdandrea1 I actually did that years ago, although only 9 holes when I played by myself sometimes. Combine golf and exercise. I didn't rush my shots or putts or anything but ran to my ball after every shot. People thought I was nuts and I was a bit of a fitness nut back then. I used a push cart, though.
