letthebigdogshunt Maybe, maybe not. I first shot my age at 68 and every year after that until last year at 76 I just couldn't do it. I did have some wrist soreness all year so I used that as an excuse. This year at 77 I have only done it twice mostly because I'm hitting it sideways a lot with the driver. I tend to play mostly at a 6500 yard course but distance isn't really the problem, it's direction.
Shorter curses don't help much as the woods are still thick and actually the out of bounds is just closer. I guess if I realty gave a dam I'd just hit a 3 or 5 wood off the tee on a lot of the shorter holes but it's more fun to bomb away.
