Don't take this as advice, but IMO, without stopping the activity that is causing the issue, Surgery is going to be your best course of action for long term and permanent resolution of symptoms. If you get at it early enough, temporary rest and therapy might do the trick. Unfortunately, the longer symptoms go on the worse it gets.
I know from several years experience that many people try to live with the symptoms and keep working but eventually have to stop due to the pain and often the other extremity gets issues because it has to compensate. Pain medication, booze, drugs only do so much and don't fix things before they begin to affect other areas of your life.
For some, a job change is required. hopefully, you can get good early treatment and this doesn't happen to you.
Good luck
