Several years ago we got behind a foursome of hacks who all putted out every putt and used ball alignment marks and they all had to align every stinking putt, even tap ins. Plus they would not start the alignment process until it was their turn to putt. We went around them while they were on the second green and they were so engrossed with their alignments I don't think that they even noticed that we went around them. Grrrrr...

Rickochet That’s a great story. I actually think I picked up the red beer thing from my dad, starting in the 70’s (I even remember him giving me a sip from time to time even though I was in single digits). I just take it to the next level with zing-zang and sometimes loading it up with various stuffed olives, smoked string cheese sticks and a beef stick. 🤤

I didn’t think lasers worked under 40 yards. Maybe that’s why he was taking so long

I was wondering that myself. But I'm pretty sure he was inside 40 yards. To the point I never say anything to anybody I don't know on the course, but I almost had to say something about it.

Yes they work under 40.... My buddy lasers everything, sometimes longer putts. It took some getting used to, but he plays quick so I got over it😉

Good to know, I thought maybe I was going senile. But it was jarring to me how close to the green this guy was when lasering.

yes they do. I use a laser and its faster than the cart GPS system where people have to to touch the screen and find yardages to points. My laser is out in my cart cup holder if driving or the pouch on my push cart and i have it out and am lasering as I reach my ball. Takes a second.

played Saturday and forgot my laser was inside the house. My buddy has a watch GPS piece of inaccurate crap , i came up short on the first 4 greens ( maybe he was giving me meters) ....so i went old school and just started pacing off to yardage markers and hit every green after that.

I never thought I'd like a laser but I do. Hand not the steadiest, so I thought it would take me forever, but it's easy to use. Especially nice when playing a new course which I did on Friday afternoon. Every golfer I've played with that uses a laser is quick. It certainly is quicker and more efficient then pacing it off or "eyeballing" it😉

Put a WTB ad in our geezer NextDoor app/bulletin and SCORED! $80 for both. The Bag Boy is functional but doesn't fold up small, the CaddyLite folds into a little square. Both have storage, brakes, umbrella holders, etc.

Not much help on my end sorry....got mine as a present. I think the brand is Tec Tec Tec. That all seem pretty similar to me, less the ones with the handle and the triangular shaped top and red dot as the laser....those I hated, otherwise they look the same. Mine has an adjusted yardage depending on the angle you are holding it on, so the actual yardage shows with an adjusted yardage just below it.....I think there is a degree in #'s to show how much of an angle it is.
