I thought we had a thread for this, but couldn't find it. What did you buy today?

MidwayJ Which Top-Flites are those? I still have a set of TF irons at my inlaws and they are SGI, but not as large as the KE4 FDI.

They are the 2003 Top Flite Tour irons that were the subject of the super long thread on the old FGI site.

MidwayJ Those are the ones I have! I haven't seen them in about 4 years, but I don't recall those being as huge as the KE4 FDI. I think I still have the 3 & 4 irons at home collecting dust so I'll have to search around and compare.

I doubt yours are any smaller. 😁 The head I bought is called the KE4 Tour FDI hybrid. It is described as an improvement over a previous KE4 HDI hybrid. Maybe the HDI is what you had? Not having "tour" in the name probably means it was bigger.

MidwayJ No I have the Tour FDI they currently have in their lineup. I think I still have the 4i head at home. Maybe because I have been playing Apex Pro Forged and now P770 that anything else looks huge. Pretty sure I have the TF 3 and 4 irons still at home as I brought 5-P with a 4h to AZ.

I met the guy who started that thread. Can't remember his name at the moment. I lost contact with him quite a long time ago but we did play golf together a few times over a 2-3 year period. When I would bring up that thread on the course he would just shake his head. I don't think he liked being reminded of how he hyped those irons when they probably weren't in his bag more than 6 months, lol. He was mostly a "latest and greatest" OEM guy and eventually quit posting on FGI in favor of Golfwrx.

Have one of these coming this morning. My old mat from a different manufacturer is falling apart. The beauty of cathedral ceilings. Just have to make sure the cats don’t get clobbered.😺
