KCee Back in my day "gamers" were only for the court. My dad or my coach would have beaten me if we were caught wearing them anywhere else lol. Every year the coach would negotiate with a local sporting goods store for us to get new shoes at a discount (a$$hole probably got a kickback lol).
I remember getting leather Nikes for the first time freshman year; I think I had to shell out like $40 of my own money. I bet my parents were able to retire early because they never bought us more than the basics.
Mine too, KC. Everything you described was my experience, as well, less 1 pair of "gamers" my dad splurged on. A pair of Nike Legends, that I wore my junior year. She claims she wants them for games, but I find it hard to believe, they wont have team shoes, unless that's what they came up with.
She wears all of them, not a "collector", per say.
