KCee Rickochet I hope that you went dressed appropriately wearing either bright striped pajama pants or leopard yoga pants. I went just after work so yes of course I had on leopard print.
Par4QC KCee Not a fashionista myself, and know nothing about your job/job title/job requirements, but am wondering why you dressed like that for work? ๐คฃ
Subsonic Eguller I think I have the ability to predict future events as a day or so ago I predicted papaD would be in a used club barrel...
Subsonic What happened... Was on Fleabay last night and ended up purchasing a set of Orlimar Stratos Hybrid irons. WTH Just Happened? For $219 shipped I HAD to. Right?? Full report for the Geezers of the Last Tee in the coming weeks.
sdandrea1 Subsonic They are not geezer flex. How does your buddy like them? Flex doesn't matter in irons for me, just shaft weight. Dibs. He loves them! He bought the putter and fairway woods too. Geezer budget!
AdamMH I have my own eBay adventure to report. A 59" (!!!) long Titleist 975J in 6.5 degree, Harrison Pro 2.5 shaft. Club was 9.95, shipping was 60. ... I don't know if there's anywhere I can actually swing it off course. Ridiculous.
darpar AdamMH A 59" (!!!) long Titleist 975J in 6.5 degree, That's from the old days when Long Drive had no shaft length limitations. I once saw a women swing a driver that was as long as she was tall, looked like she was in slow motion.
gllama darpar I played a lot of golf at Gearhart Golf Links on the Oregon Coast with a guy named Wedgy Winchester who was the national long drive champion in 1984 and 1985. Believe it or not he used a 60-inch driver shaft. Wedgy was also a trick shot artist and a Ping staffer for many years. He was an excellent player and still very long off the tee when he was in his late 60s. Several PGA pros gave him his nickname โWedgyโ because he was such a terrible wedge player. He told me lots of stories about his life on the PGA Tour and traveling the world. I wrote a magazine article about Wedgy many years ago and if I can find it, Iโll post it here.
