Picked up a classic yesterday at PIAS. Rife Two Bar Tour Mallet in exceptional condition that looked like it was left in someone's basement for 10 years. Dust, dirt and grime but I could see the face was in perfect condition. The grip was gnarly and decomposed but for $16 trade for a couple of pair of OLD golf shoes I had to have it.
A little Awesome cleaner and a soft brush made quick work of the dirt and grime.
I had a new pulled RIFE grip for it BUT made the mistake of pulling out the acetone instead of mineral spirits and dissolved the outer layer of the new Rife grip before even getting on. So now it has a cheap red golf pride grip.
I'll give it a try this weekend. It should bring back some memories.
