Bravopilot LBlack14 Perhaps time for you to switch to Toyota sir, as your Uncle Steve (thought about Ford but abandoned that) and I have already done.😎
KCee Par4QC Drill press vise Jacks Drill bits End mills Tape Double cheeseburgers I wanna party with you!
Par4QC KCee Typical free-for-all!! 🤣 And, tasty. I should have listed the cheeseburgers 1st, I guess, as the others show a prelude to toughness of meat, perhaps. Was not the case.
Mattyv Won $25 from PayPal today. Proceeded to purchase some golf grips from Ebay. 15 grips for $6 shipped after applying the $25. Not sure what to expect, but for $6, I think I will be ok. https://www.ebay.com/itm/193185809243
Mattyv LBlack14 Not sure. I bought a few Christmas presents and paid with PayPal. The last few purchases I got a message saying that I was automatically "signed up" for some blah, blah, blah. I never read the whole thing because I never win that shit. Got an email that said I won $25. Didn't believe it and thought it was a fake PayPal email. I logged in to my PayPal account to make sure and sure as shit, it was there.
LBlack14 Mattyv Gotcha. I get those just about every time I use my PayPal. Never thought nothing about it. Congrats!
Mattyv So when the pandemic first hit and the stimulus checks 1st came out we spent that money on our kids because we knew they were in for a crappy time. We got my daughter the phone she wanted and I scored a very nice Alto Saxophone for my son. Got it from a pawn shop and talked them down to $1100 from the $1600 they wanted. They were both ecstatic. Here we are almost 2 years later and my son now plays the Tenor Sax. He is very good but was no longer playing his very nice Alto so he decided to sell it and buy a nice Tenor. I took the Alto to the music shop to get an appraisal. Boom, $2800-3000. I am happy to report that we sold it for $2500 the other day. I got on the phone with the guy at the music shop about a nice Tenor sax my son wants. This guy has an in with the manufacturer and for $2600 my son is getting a horn that normally sells for $4000 in most shops. Long story short, my $1100 gift for my son has appreciated to $4000 in a little under 2 years.😁 I am very happy for him, he gets the exact horn he wants that will last him a lifetime.
Bravopilot Mattyv I enjoyed watching the show Barter Kings, perhaps you have a new calling. It was clever what those guys could eventually acquire.
Mattyv Mattyv Update. My music shop guy came through and got the new sax in today!! A good 4 days sooner than expected. It had to be shipped in from Utah. Now my boy will have an extra surprise on Christmas morning. He was not expecting to get it until next week sometime!
Mattyv Bravopilot I liked that show also. Pretty sure most of it was staged, but the concept was pretty cool. I am sure those guys were able to make a living with bartering but the stuff on TV was for show. Bartering is fun!
Par4QC Mattyv Watched a clip(not Barter Kings) a couple nights ago about a gal that started out trading a bobby pin, for 'something'. She now has a house, that she recently traded for, which she started out seeking in the end. She said she is now going to trade the house for......a bobby pin!!
