We are in Columbus today for granddaughter's Christmas band concert. So, since my daughter lives only
about 35 minutes from Golfworks in Newark, what better way to spend an hour or so? When I walked in the door though, I was unpleasantly surprised by the changes they have made, due to Covid. They have moved the counter up front, where you walk in the door and have the rest of the showroom blocked off to prevent customers from shopping. Basically, you can place an order and stand by and wait for them to get the product out of the warehouse.
I did fall into one super deal though. They had Top Flite Hammer Control golf balls (which were rebranded from the Top Flite D2 Feel), logo overruns were on sale for $4.99 for a 15-ball pack!!
So, I bought 2 boxes of those.....at 33 cents a ball, you can't go wrong!!
Question for Steve.....If you're reading this.....a few months back you posted about the Maltby KE4 HyWay utility wood that you bought from them. I've been trying to find that post to see your reviews of it, since I was looking at one they had there (that was another drawback.....they had a few clubs on display, but I asked if I could hit a few shots to try it out, and they said that since Covid they're not allowing customers to try out clubs!). What loft did you buy? Did
you like it? Are you still using it? Just curious, as it looks sort of like a larger sized hybrid, but it's built on a
.335 wood shaft.....
