Typhoon Good idea. Store policy is find the damage within 48 hours of delivery = instant refund or replace. Longer timespan it has to go their head office for a decision.
I guess they want to assess whether it's damage that could have been caused by us during storage or moving it around the house. Store manager doesn't think there'll be an issue due to the type of damage and its location, but the process they have to go through takes a bit longer. Luckily I'd taken those photos on my phone to go to the store and emailed them while there to attach to his returns report.
We also have written confirmation (via text) that we can use the unit in its current state, while awaiting a replacement. Just in case head office try to pull a flanker based on returning used goods.
