I bought a 4-port gigbit ethernet switch because in trying to cancel my Ooma service, I ended up with a brand new device, free of charge, instead.
Somoene back on FGI turned me onto Ooma. It is a company that is nearly impossible to leave once you're with them. I can't for the life of me figure out why the customer service rep tried so hard to keep my business over 5/mo in fees that I pay for the service. I wanted out, he knew it, and tried offering me a discounted device which irked me so he apologized by sending me a free brand new 99 dollar device with free shipping and already activated with my current number. Truly plug-n-play.
Had to buy an ethernet switch to accommodate it as all of the ports are used up on my router.
You don't find customer service like that. I had NO intention of being an Ooma customer during that phone call but couldn't say no to a free device. Now, we have a reliable home phone option.
