azgreg Just saw 1 of those today, but they wanted way too much for it. Excellent condition, but $50 is out of line.

They also had a brand new in plastic(both)...R9 SuperTri & tour issue Burner TP drivers.

I got the F outta there ASAP!! Shaking so bad I almost couldn't drive.

sdandrea1 Honestly I really can't find fault with the ball...other than the name. Reminds me a bit of the Oncore Elixr. Not too hard, not too soft, goes good off the driver and works well around the greens. I like the ProV1 and Chrome Tour a bit better, but when I can get these for $20 I buy them instead of spending $55.

A Vertical Groove driver head. Some ferrules for my graphite iron shafts that were to go into my MacGregor MT Pro-C irons, but got delayed when I found the 8 iron somehow missing. The "iron" ferrules I had previously bought turned out to be for .335 shafts and not iron shafts. I checked the new ones last night and they fit, albeit quite snug. A non-matching MT Pro-C 8-iron (black finish instead of chrome) but otherwise identical to the rest of the set and should function perfectly.

azgreg May have to try it. I liked the old Gamers. They also did everything well. I tend to shy away from balls without urethane covers as most are superballs around the green. Our greens are too small, sloped and quick enough that you need some spin/check to have a chance.

HEADS UP: Just checked Dick's website a minute ago, and they have them on sale for $12 bucks for a 15 ball pak !!

The D2 Feel is the ball that hooked me. I think the Hammer Control is the rebrand.

I am one who has carried that bias since first trying them back in the 80s.

I did try out the D2 Feel for a year after Dunlop discontinued the LoCo ball. I liked it as an all-around performer, it just didn't stand out anywhere for me. I might need to give the Hammer Control a go now and see what I think after I work through the stash of balls I have. Was going to live and die with the Kirkland, but they appear to have changed it for the worse in my trial.

[deleted] iirc, they only had a 3 pc for 1 season. I used them a lot and they were the best ever Gamer balls. Might still have a box around here.

Last season's Gamers had a lot of problems, if I remember. Lot of complaints, followed by low price clearance. At least that's what I saw locally.

For a really nice ball that checks the boxes, try the MaxFli Tri-Fli. 3 pc., decent price when buying more than 1.
