I thought we had a thread for this, but couldn't find it. What did you buy today?

jsippy73 I laugh because the neighbor apparently used something similar. The crabgrass is now more noticeable than before, due to it being white. It hasn't gone away and he has mowed 2 times since.
At least mine is still green, but not noticeable from the street.

ode I did pop one loose with an adapter torque wrench, but it just spins. They don't need changed anyway, unless one would be playing them different lengths than normal. I have mine too long, so I'll be cutting them down a bit. Shafts are flexing too much for my taste(graphite S flex).

I really don't care for those 'slots' on the sole. Just too close to the face imo, causing some follow-through problems.

That said, they are a lot longer for me than when I hit hybrids of the same lofts. And much straighter, which can never be a bad thing. Also easier to hit than an ordinary iron.

Was a production home, not custom (Khovnanian Berry Hill II). The most upgraded dining room chandelier available from the builder did not suit SWMBO'S taste. The stock thermostat was NOT WiFi connected, and the dining room wall switch did not have a dimmer. We're not done either. 🙄

I'm not sure what constitutes "custom". We had a bazillion choices on appliances, cabinets, colors, flooring, fireplaces, stone, brick, etc, blah, blah, but we could NOT move any walls, add a 3rd car garage, install an irrigation system, etc. until after we owned the place. The floor plan is the floor plan.

sdandrea1 That's odd that you couldn't move a wall. We purchased a Maine built modular and had some very significant changes made. It wasn't cheap. 2 of the more major changes were eliminating a wall and having a steel beam put in and getting rid of the power vent and adding a 2 flue chimney.

sdandrea1 Agree, custom sounds better but hard to define. Everything was a cha-ching moment and not in my favor, Plus, the lot was not included.

One of the ways these production builders get the homes built quickly is sticking to their engineered plans. The roof trusses and walls all come pre-made in kits. If they started allowing engineering changes, they become "custom" builders - lead time slows down, costs go up..

sdandrea1 I was building those houses over 50 yrs. ago. We did a heller of an abode for the factory owner. Took over a whole day to build in shop. Cost was an outrageous sum of $26K, most expensive we ever put out.
(It's still standing, btw😉)

sdandrea1 While I like how most Mesa amps can sound, I don't think I would pay a premium for one. My friend has 2 (only one that takes the "big" glass). With Mesa you're kind of stuck buying Mesa power tubes as they grade their tubes so that you can swap them out, buy the same grade/range and not have to bias the amp. The issue is he needs power tubes for his amp (2 tubes it's a 50 watt) I have a lot of 6L6GCs and EL34s, but I don't buy Mesa power tubes. With my Traynor and my Jet City I bias my own amp so I can put what ever I want in. He will be stuck buying Mesa branded tubes at a premium. His choice...he knows it...and certainly not the end of the world. Glass is still pricey. I have enough for a few lifetimes of a hobbyist guy like me.
The other thing with Mesa is that Gibson purchased the brand a few years ago....I'm not sure how that is going to affect the brand.
I almost purchased another Traynor head this week and put my Peavey up for sale.....still affordable heads.

I ordered these three clubs at the same time. They shipped and arrived at my door at the same time in three different boxes. There's no way 2nd Swing didn't lose money on this deal.

I did make a pass-through at Menard's & Lowe's.
Picked up 1 of those cordless mini hedge trimmers. And I have no hedge. But these hostas are goners this time of year and now they will be totally gone til Spring.
Yeah, I've used/have other methods of removal but I just wanted to post in this thread. So......🤣
