Finally something golf related. Just ordered one of these, a Ping Moonlite Carry bag, on sale from golf direct now. Quite a bit lighter than my cart bag!
Can't seem to play much golf due to time and expense, but there is a cheap 9-hole course about 20 minutes away. The course is kind of silly, but is decent practice.
The par 5 3rd, although short, is a legit par 5 for short hitters like me. It is a ninety degree dogleg with a pond and trees protecting the dogleg. There is a very narrow gap through trees. You have to be able to hit a 280+ yard drive through a 15 yard wide gap in order to have a direct shot at the green. Typhoon and Par4QC's Jake could probably clear everything with a high 5 wood or 5 iron and have a putt for albatross, but for normal people it's a shot close to the gap, a short iron through the gap or over the trees, and a short iron to the green. Lots 100 - 130 yard shots in the nine. The greens are tiny and standard bermuda. The really short par 3 has a pond to the left and anything on the left third of the green is in the pond. A couple of roads also come into play with one being a very busy road all along the left side of number 5.
