Typhoon not planning on ever getting certified for it, so formal classes won't be happening. I'll talk to a few people I know and see if they might be willing to show me the basics and allow me to try it, in exchange for a few bucks. I think one of the guys at the course has a tig, and might be agreeable to that idea...
I really just want to see about learning enough to be able to start welding with it. After that it's all just practice... get into the motion, feeding the rod, and laying the bead. There are some welds that require no filler rod, and just use the metal you are wanting to join together.
