bad9 I am with you, if I’m on a course that I can use the spin, great, I like to be able to nip the ball and have people in my group assume it’s gone over the green and have it hit, bounce once, stop. It’s funny to watch the reactions when you hit shots that way, which coincidentally was something I used to watch Tiger do and wondered how the hell he did it, until I tried a Pro-V1 I found. Then I got it. That’s where a ball can make a LOT. Of difference.
Most courses I play don’t have fairways good enough for that, or don’t require a lot of those shots, so I just use loft to make the ball stop. I hit it high and it usually doesn’t go far, around the greens I play a dead shot kind of like Jason Day hit, but with 1/100th of his precision.
In all honesty, my strongest suit is the 19th hole, if it’s not going well for golf by the 6th, I stop for some practice after 9 and am ready to take on the pros by 19th.
