garyt1957 If you believe in swing weight (letter-number) heft match weight of grip does effect swing weight. If you believe like I do in MoI (kg-cm2) heft match then grip weight has very little to no effect on MoI heft match.
Thru my personal experience I use 2680 kg-cm2 toe down no matter how the component stats. change (head-shaft-grip) with equal decent club performance in hybrids/irons/wedges. I use 2780 kg-cm2 in metal woods. The swing weight changes through out the set in any MoI matched set. 1.4 pts per inch.
Many PGA pro's now use higher swing weight mid to short irons and always have used higher letter-number in wedges. This shows even the best in the game don't adhere to swing weight heft match any longer like the industry clings to cuz it's easier to do so and less costly.
Use Bryson as an example with single length and large oversized Jumbo Max grips. Unsure what his Cobra's go now but I believe his Edel SL irons went C-7 shows again letter-number don't mean a heckva lot.
