I'm not going to go through the trouble of getting an account at another site to host a video, but I did have my daughter video my swing at the range. First time I've had my swing recorded. Uglyyyyyyyyy. First off, I'm way fatter when filmed in profile than I thought I looked in the mirror. Second, even though I've always felt my back was straight, I'm actually hunched over and reaching quite a bit. Third, my turn was so limited that the 4 iron barely got past vertical. The shot was ok at about 190 yards carry and about 20 feet right of the target, but what a terrible looking swing!

johnnydoom I dunno. There's some stuff to like about this position. Shoulders are square to the target, hips clearing. Arms and shaft in a nice straight line and you haven't casted the club. I've seen a lot worse.

LogicalOne Very early and aggressive wrist set, a fair sway in the backswing, but then a pretty good move at the ball. Tempo is good.

rsvman 👍 Definitely lots of things I can work on. I’m going to try and line up a few lessons to help me out but I’m certainly finding it fun just getting out and playing a little golf again.

It was a tad misleading. I generally consider the 4 iron in this Ping set to be my 180 yard club, but on that range I'm hitting into a hollow with the ball landing on an up-slope, but approx. 20 feet below where I'm hitting from at that distance.☺

Thank guys. The swing works well enough when I exercise it weekly. I don’t think I’ll work on swing changes this year, but I’m changing my diet today. Maybe I can lose enough weight to allow a bigger turn.🍆🍅

LBlack14 I didn’t like the one discussed above so I deleted it. I’ll need to send you the one recorded today. Some say I look a little like Dustin Johnson in that one, but it’ll actually be me.😮

A little less OTT, I think. My shoulder and back turn is so limited by surgeries and loss of flexibility. Trying to keep my arms and chest connected.

Practice Swing Vs. Reality of Actual Swing

Not sure what your point is, but I can actually repeat my practice swing at a ball. I do know 3 things for sure:

I carry a USGA 9 handicap with that swing.
I shot a 78 today with a triple bogey on the card.
I don't see your swing video on here.

Scott's right, it likely changes, it might even change for the better but it likely changes. No instructor would give you online lessons based on your practice swing, they want to see you hit a ball.
BTW, looks good to me. Compact repeatable, I'd bet you're pretty consistent. Looks better trhan your original video, might just be the angle of the original.
