ValueGolf Unfortunately all the shaft trimming manipulation in the world won't help raise your ball flight on the lower irons significantly. If you hit the Sterlings too low, you will hit the Pinhawks too low.
I do not have an issue hitting the Sterling long irons too low, I am just too inconsistent with them as I am a "regular" long iron. I have dropped the 5 and 6 and worked in some Titleist 816h1 hybrids to fill the gaps and they are working well. I do have a Sterling 5h and don't hit it any better than the 5 iron.
Regarding the Pinhawk SL fairway woods I have had all three since they first came out and really like them. With them having a head weight of a "normal" 5 wood I trimmed my shafts for the Pinhawks just like I would for my 5 woods. So, basically you have three 5 woods with different lofts. These sit dead square for me and if you have an issue pushing these right I would think you have a shaft issue. Usually for me if I push shots consistently right the club is too long and heavy or the shaft is too stiff.
